Semi-Truck Driver in Kansas Killed after Collision with Freight Train
(Barber County, Kansas – October 26, 2023)
Tragedy struck in Barber County, Kansas as an unfortunate collision between a train and a semi-truck claimed the life of an Enid, Oklahoma man. This collision occurred yesterday just a little before noon on Kansas Highway 2 near Kiowa, Kansas. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the driver of the tractor trailer was 40-year-old Joshua David Wayne Rainey. Mr Rainer was westbound when he was struck by the freight train.
First responders, including local law enforcement, fire department, and medical personnel, rushed to the scene to provide immediate assistance. Tragically, despite their efforts, Mr. Rainey succumbed to his injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the collision.
