Semi-Trailer Truck Driver Seriously Injured By CSX Freight Train
(Bradner, Ohio – October 5, 2011)
A Michigan truck driver was seriously injured Wednesday morning as he attempted to cross CSX Railroad tracks at the crossing of U.S. Highway 6 between Pemberville and Bradner Roads in Fostoria, OH.
Lawrence Esler, driver of the 18-wheeler, was airlifted in undisclosed condition to the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, OH. Investigators from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene. The crossing has lights and gates, but no report of their proper function was offered.
