(Chicago, Illinois – August 16, 2011)
A pedestrian, obviously injured from an encounter with a train, was found by a Union Pacific train crew as he lay near UPRR tracks on Chicago’s near west side about 8:15 P.M. Tuesday night.
Because both Union Pacific and Metra commuter passenger trains use the same tracks, it was unknown which train hit the victim, but the man was transported to Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL, where he was admitted in serious-to-critical condition with multiple injuries.
