A Norfolk Southern freight train struck and seriously injured an unidentified male pedestrian Monday night about 9:40 P.M. near the intersection of West Market and Meadowood Streets in Greensboro, NC.
Greensboro Police said the victim was found on a section of track just east of the intersection, and were treating the situation as a public accident despite the victim being found on private railroad property. The man suffered undisclosed injuries to his legs and was taken to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, where he was still hospitalized and being treated for his injuries Wednesday morning.
