Passenger Dies Running To Catch Train

(Overbrook, Pennsylvania)

A white male, believed to be between 40 and 60 years of age, was killed Tuesday afternoon just before 4:00 P.M. as he ran to catch an Amtrak passenger train, slipped off the Overbrook, PA station platform, fell onto the tracks, and was run over by the very train he sought to catch.

The Harrisburg, PA-bound Amtrak train was carrying 118 passengers at the time of the tragedy. The would-be passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
