Norfolk Southern Train Kills Driver at Dangerous, Unguarded Missouri Crossing
(Madison, Missouri – June 22, 2011)
A 34-year-old Madison resident, Robert Lee, died about 2:50 P.M. Wednesday when his 1984 GMC pickup truck collided with a Norfolk Southern Railroad freight train at the dangerous, unguarded crossing of County Road 1073 and Norfolk Southern tracks. The victim’s vehicle burst into after the impact and Lee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County Coroner. The NS train was westbound and the victim’s vehicle was northbound.
