New Jersey Transit Train Kills Pedestrian

(Camden County, New Jersey – November 2, 2011)

A 51-year-old pedestrian, Michael Casas of Evesham Township in Burlington County, NJ, was killed about noon on Wednesday when he was struck by a Philadelphia-bound New Jersey Transit commuter train just south of the Atco, NJ station.

The train was carrying 120 passengers when it came upon the victim, who was walking along the railroad tracks. NJT Spokesman John Durso Jr. said the NJT Police are handling the investigation into the tragedy.
