Kansas Pedestrian Dies on Union Pacific Tracks

(Hutchinson, Kansas – June 25, 2011)

A 19-year-old man, who was among a group of three people crossing Union Pacific Railroad tracks in the vicinity of East 2nd and Porter Streets in Hutchinson, KS, early (12:45 A.M.) Saturday morning, was struck and killed by a Union Pacific train. Hutchinson Police say that the victim, Aaron Decker, misjudged the speed of the train when he attempted to cross the railroad tracks.
