The body of a 52-year-old Indianapolis, IN resident was found about 8:00 A.M. Wednesday morning on a CSX railroad trestle crossing 10th Street at 7900 West in north Indianapolis, IN. The body was reported to be on the tracks as a CSX freight train approached and ran over William Poyck.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Spokesman Kendale Williams said it was believed the victim was hit and killed by an earlier Amtrak train, whose crew said that it was dark outside, but heard something hit the train as their train passed over the railroad bridge.
The Marion County Coroner will hold an inquest over the death.
