The CSX Crossing, where a motorist was killed and a passenger was injured in a collision two weeks ago, has been indefinitely closed due to repeated crossing signal system malfunctions.
Authorities and CSX have also yet to release any information on whether the lights and gates were malfunctioning at the time of the crash on March 12, 2025. Motorists rely on lights and gates to properly function and warn them of the presence of an oncoming train. As a result, the crossing signal system’s failure to properly operate is a major safety concern for all motorists who may encounter the crossing.
