On April 3, a Tucson pedestrian was tragically struck and killed by a Union Pacific train. The incident occurred near West Grant Road and I-10. The local police are still investigating this collision.
According to local reporters, there were five pedestrian-train incidents in southern Arizona in 2024 and six in 2023. Of those reported incidents, at least nine other southern Arizona pedestrians were killed.
