An unidentified woman was killed in a suburb of Philadelphia Pennsylvania last Monday at about 8:40 pm. The victim was struck by a high-speed Amtrak train, which was en route from Washington, D.C. to Boston.
It was not clearly established at what point the pedestrian entered the rail corridor which accommodates several Amtrak trains daily at very high speeds on three sets of tracks.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Delaware County Police and Coroner.
