An Amtrak “Acela” high-speed passenger train hit and killed a pedestrian along dedicated high speed railroad tracks just west of the Hamilton Township Station in Mercer County, NJ about 1:00 P.M. Wednesday afternoon. The train was travelling between Boston, MA and Washington, DC and was carrying 170 passengers when it struck the victim, whom officials made certain to label a “trespasser”.
