Illinois Pedestrian Killed By Canadian National Train

An as-yet unidentified female pedestrian died about 10:00 P.M. Sunday night in the Springfield, IL suburb of Grandview, IL when she was struck by a westbound Canadian National freight train as she walked along CNR tracks. The tragedy occurred in the vicinity of Albany Street and Keys Avenue, where traffic was blocked off for hours as police investigated the circumstances surrounding the accident.
