A Chicago Metra commuter passenger train struck and killed a pedestrian about a quarter mile east of the Naperville, IL station during Friday’s rush hour just after 4:00 P.M. The train, travelling east bound from Aurora, IL to Chicago on Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks, hit and instantly killed the as-yet unidentified victim. Neither Naperville nor Metra police would release any details of the tragedy, with Metra Spokesman Mike Gillis saying that “an investigation could take some time.”
