(Sunset, Utah – July 21, 2011)
The body of an unidentified female was noticed along Union Pacific Railroad tracks early Thursday morning about 9:00 A.M. by a passenger aboard a Utah Transit Authority “FrontRunner” commuter passenger train, leading officials to surmise the victim was walking along railroad tracks and was hit, possibly by a UPRR train, between 10:00 P.M. and Midnight Wednesday.
The victim, whom one media source described as “unrecognizable”, was believed to be in her 50’s and from the local Sunset, UT area, and had both a cell phone and car keys on her person. Since neither railroad entity reported anything unusual, authorities were questioning both UP and UTA employees in regard to the tragedy.
