Two Die At Alabama Norfolk Southern Crossing

(Bessemer, Alabama – October 21, 2011)

Two Alabama men died after being hit by a train early Friday morning about 1:25 A.M. when one of them tried to drive around allegedly lowered crossing gates at the 20th Street crossing of NS tracks in Bessemer, AL.

Dead at the scene, according to Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Johnny Long, were the driver, Jaquan Rollins, 30, of Bessemer, AL and his passenger, Armster Hood, 45, of Midfield, AL. This was the second such accident at the crossing in less than a month.
