(Osawatomie, Kansas – May 31, 2011)
A 42-year-old Osawatomie, KS resident, Charles E. Light, was killed late Tuesday night when he was struck by a 127-car Union Pacific train of empty coal cars headed for Wyoming. The victim was on his way home just after 11:00 P.M. when he crossed UPRR tracks near Sixth and Main Streets and was hit by the train. This was the second train/pedestrian death in Osawatomie thus far this year.
