CSX Train Kills Indiana Pedestrian

(St. Joe, Indiana – July 18, 2011)

A 48-year-old resident of Butler, IN was hit and killed by a CSX freight train as he walked beside CSX Railroad tracks near the Washington Street grade crossing in St. Joe, IN early Monday. Bradley Kaiser was struck by a westbound CSX train consisting of two locomotives and 28 cars carrying containers and trailers from Boston to Chicago. The victim’s body was found between the Washington Street and DeKalb County Road 60 crossings, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
