City Workers Rescue Man from Car Before Amtrak Train Crushes It
(Fullerton, California – July 12, 2011)
Alert City of Fullerton, CA yard maintenance workers became heroes Tuesday afternoon around 2:00 P.M. when they witnessed a two car collision, and then took action to free one of the victim’s whose car was flung onto Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks as an Amtrak “Surfliner” passenger train bore down upon the scene. The workers freed the victim, who was taken to a local hospital with undetermined injuries, but the Amtrak train struck the already-damaged vehicle which was still on the railroad tracks.
