(Birmingham, Missouri – December 1, 2011)
An as-yet unidentified pedestrian was struck and injured by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train at 8600 NE Underground Drive, an area near the huge Hunt Industrial Park, much of which is in caves north of the Missouri River just outside Kansas City, MO in Birmingham, MO.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital and was said to be conscious and alert, but no further word was received on the nature of his injuries.
