Passenger Struck and Killed At Septa Station

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – December 10, 2011)

An as-yet unidentified man, thought to be a passenger awaiting his train, was struck and critically injured Saturday afternoon by a  Southeast Pennsylvania Transit Authority train traveling from Frankford, PA to Market, PA as he stood on the Fifth and Market Street SEPTA Station.

The victim was transported to Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Philadelphia Police are investigating the tragedy.
