Printer-friendly versionPDF version

(Fridley, Minnesota – July 23, 2012)

A man described by his father as “just a sweet, loving person” was no match for a train Friday evening. As he was walking along the railroad tracks he was overtaken and struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train just north of 77th Way in Fridley.
The man, John Robert Iverson, 29, of Blaine, MN was pronounced dead at the scene, “the result of a horrible accident”, once again the words of his grieving father, Robert Iverson.
The victim was not married and had no children.
