Lawyers for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation Acknowledge “bad conduct” Before Minnesota Supreme Court

After assessing 4.2 million dollars in penalties to Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad after it was found to have fabricated evidence and interfered with investigations, the Supreme Court of Minnesota expressed concern over the Railroads misconduct. In response, lawyer for BNSF stated "We stand here now with that bad conduct acknowledged."

Robert Pottroff and Sharon VanDyck argued the case on behalf of the families of those killed in the 2003 railroad crossing accident in Anoka, Minnesota.  An obviously well prepared Supreme Court asked probing questions and focused the parties on an in-depth analysis of the issues and facts on appeal.  These arguments were a refreshing reminder of how well the American Judicial system can work.
