Family of Four Seriously Injured at Dangerous, Non-Gated Canadian National Crossing

A family of four, including two young children, ages four and two, had to be cut out of their automobile by first responders after it was struck by a Canadian National freight train at the crossing of CNR tracks and South Main Street in Alta, IA Thursday afternoon about 4:22 P.M.

Pennsylvania Suffers Second Train Derailment in Less Than a Month

A 120-car Norfolk Southern freight train mainly hauling tank cars filled with crude oil on its way from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia derailed 21 of its cars near an industrial park at a bend of the Kiskiminetas River in the western Pennsylvania town of Vandergrift Thursday morning.

Truck Carrying Crane Hung Up on Arkansas Crossing Hit by Union Pacific Train

A low-clearance semi-trailer hauling a construction crane were both virtually destroyed Monday morning about 10:30 A.M. after the 18-wheeler became hung up on the crossing surface of Cypress Street where it crosses Union Pacific Railroad tracks in Beebe, AR, and was hit by a train.

Pedestrian Killed Crossing Snow Blocked Canadian National Crossing

A 28-year-old local resident died following his unsuccessful attempt to cross Canadian National Railroad tracks at the Miner Street crossing in Ladysmith, WI Tuesday at about 11:57 A.M.  Jacob L. Lebal was walking east on Miner Street when the southbound CNR freight train hit him at 47 mph.

Third Man Dies from January Collision at Dangerous, Unguarded Norfolk Southern Crossing

Motorist Seriously Injured at Obscured, Dangerous, Unguarded Norfolk Southern Crossing

The obscured, dangerous and unguarded crossing of Buchanan Avenue and Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks near the street’s intersection with North Broadway in the northern part of Knoxville, TN was the site of another non-fatal injury accident Friday morning at about 7:22 A.M. when an as-yet unnamed male motorist failed to see an oncoming train hidden from his view by trackside buildings.
