Infamous Minnesota BNSF Crossing Claims Another Life

A BNSF railroad crossing where four young adults between the ages of 20 and 17 died in a September 26, 2003 car/train tragedy in the northern Twin Cities suburb of Anoka, MN was the scene Sunday evening at about 8:36 P.M. of another train-related death, this time involving a pedestrian at the BNSF/Ferry Street grade crossing.

South Dakota Driver Killed at Dangerous, Unguarded Canadian Pacific Crossing

A local woman, attempting to cross Canadian Pacific Railroad tracks at the dangerous and unguarded crossing of Cottonwood Drive and CPR tracks, was killed at about 10:42 last Thursday morning when a westbound CP freight train struck her southbound 2003 Oldsmobile Alero on the driver’s side, dragged the automobile for a short distance, and then pushed the totaled vehicle into a nearby field.

Illinois Teen Seriously Injured by Canadian National Train

A local 14-year-old boy lay unconscious and unidentified in critical condition at the Advocate Medical Center in Libertyville, IL for more than a day after he was struck by a Canadian National Railway freight train along the mainly unfenced railroad corridor that crosses Route 12 via an overpass in Lake Zurich, IL early Labor Day (Monday) morning at about 5:35 A.M.

Missouri Farmer Seriously Injured at Dangerous, Unguarded Norfolk Southern Crossing

A farmer from Richmond, MO received serious injuries last Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 P.M. when the 2006 John Deere tractor he was operating northbound on Main Street in the Ray County community of Henrietta, MO was struck by an eastbound Norfolk Southern freight train at the dangerous and unguarded crossing of Main Street and NS Railway tracks just south of the city’s downtown area.

Oklahoma Man Killed, Wife and Daughter Injured at Dangerous, Unguarded BNSF Crossing

A male resident of Maramac, OK died and his wife and daughter were injured two Saturday’s ago at about 4:00 P.M., CDT when the pickup truck they were in was struck by a northbound BNSFfreight train at the dangerous and unguarded crossing of Pawnee County Road 520 and BNSF railroad tracks just north of Hallett, OK.

North Carolina Husband and Wife Killed When Stuck Between Crossing Gates at Norfolk Southern Crossing

A married couple from Southern Pines, NC died last Friday night at about 9:51 P.M. at the oddly-configured crossing of Norfolk Southern Rails and North Carolina Highway 54 as the driver attempted to turn right off Chapel Hill Road (Hwy. 54) and onto Morrisville-Carpenter Road which parallels NS railroad tracks beyond the crossing.

Two Injured by Amtrak Train at Extremely Dangerous, Unguarded Mississippi Crossing

Two Mississippi men on their way home from work received serious injuries Tuesday afternoon at about 5:00 P.M. when the Ford Taurus they were travelling in was struck and demolished by a northbound Amtrak passenger train at the dangerous, unguarded and notorious intersection of Spitchley Road and Canadian National railroad tracks in Copiah County, MS, near Hazlehurst.

Oregon Truck Driver Hit by Amtrak Train at Dangerous, Unguarded Union Pacific Crossing

The driver of a semi trailer truck loaded with cattle feed barely survived a crash between his 18-wheeler and a northbound Amtrak train with 280 passengers on board at the dangerous and unguarded crossing of Duckflat Road SE near Salem, OR in Marion County at about 2:20 P.M. Monday afternoon.
