Pottroff (Bob) is the managing partner of Pottroff Law Office, P.A.. He is one of the nation's leading attorneys in railroad accident litigation , which is evidenced by his verdicts . Bob is an outspoken advocate for the rights of railroad accident victims and their families. He frequently lectures all over the United States on railroad crossing litigation, investigation and discovery, and the use of innovative technologies for litigation. Mr. Pottroff has also developed an expertise in the representation of clients with traumatic brain injury, and he continues to devote a significant amount of his time to public service and activism on behalf of public interest groups with similar goals. Douglas F. Martin is an associate in the firm. Mr. Martin received his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1975, graduating with merit. He received a Master of Arts degree from Webster University in 1981, and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984. Mr. Martin served as a member of the Kansas Law Review from 1982 to 1983. Mr. Martin has practiced law in a number of fields, including general litigation, tort and civil rights law, criminal law, municipal law, appellate law, and general practice. He is admitted to practice law in the Kansas Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and the 9th and 10th U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal. Rachel Mackey is an associate of the firm. Mrs. Mackey earned her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University in 1981 with a Bachelor's in Sociology. She went on to earn an associate business degree in legal assistant in 1984. Mrs. Mackey pursued a law degree from Washburn University, graduating cum laude in 1991. During her time at Washburn, she was the Washburn Law Journal Notes Editor, which is a position reserved for top students. After running her own law practice in Topeka, Kansas for several years, Mrs. Mackey joined Pottroff Law Office, P.A. in the spring of 2007. Douglas F. Dieker is an associate in the firm. Mr. Dieker received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 1994 with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Mr. Dieker then attended Washburn University, receiving his degree in 1997. Before joining Pottroff Law Office, P.A., Mr. Dieker owned his own law practice in Phoenix, Arizona for several years, primarily practicing in the areas of civil litigation and insurance law. Mr. Dieker is admitted to practice law in Kansas, Nebraska and Arizona. Stephen W. Boyda is of counsel to the firm. Mr. Boyda received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 1971. By 1972, he obtained a Master’s degree from Kansas State, and he later pursued a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Kansas , where he also obtained his law degree. Steve was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1975 and has been practicing a wide variety of law ever since, including employment law, estate planning, family law, labor law, real estate law, and trusts law. Mr. Boyda is now a member of the Indiana Division of Labor Arbitration Panel, the Kansas Public Relations Board, and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
